Dear God...

Dear God.
It's quite interesting, "Dear God ."
Not a comma, a "
.", I think its time we embraced our childlike nature.
We've established, we are summed up in a single breath, we live for our life fulfillment and purpose and then we are gone. Are we really Gone?? what about that umm..whats that word..oh right...ETERNITY..
Eternity, that's a nice thought. Imagine a beautiful replica painting of Michealangelo's masterpiece, would you rather stare at a small replica, or go and bear witness of the breathtaking masterpiece? well pick both options, by all means, do not hinder yourself. Our glimpse of eternity is precisely that, a painting of Michealangelo's masterpiece, but why not take a journey of a lifetime? Literally...

But eternity my God, what is it?

"When the mind's eye rests on objects illuminated by truth and reality, it understands and comprehends them, and functions intelligently; but when it turns to the twilight world of change and decay, it can only form opinions, its vision is confused and its beliefs shifting, and it seems to lack intelligence. "

Plato, you are ingenious, but I do not understand.

"Dear God." oh that period. If only we could be so sure, if only, if only. I want a ".", Lord knows I need a "." now more than ever. Yet the things you want the most, those always seem to be the hardest to grasp a hold of. Instead I am stuck without a "," to spare,
not even a ";", more like a "?"...Why should I live for something i know nothing of? Where do I turn to for a clearer vision? To the Holy Books? To God Himself? To meditation? To the mountains?

Run, Run! Let us run off into the borrows of the Himalayas, maybe thousands of feet above the earth's surface, in the mountain tops, our lips almost kissing the breath of God, we can find some solitude and understanding of who we are to be, and what our life becomes.

If you allow the essence of your soul to find serenity and peace of mind, you will no longer find yourself amidst confusion and disarray.
When our soul escapes this hollow shell, it will rest among the shadows of the trees, it will wrap itself within the howls of the wind, the depths of the oceans, the heights of the mountains, and would cry out to those around, "Live like you will not die"

Ladies and Gentlemen: eternity waits, it beckons to us as each minute passes, but we are too busy to listen to the cries. The souls of those gone before us cry out, can we sit in silence to hear what they have to say? The warnings they give to us? Would we heed to the cries? Will we listen? Can we listen? Many times we live as if no one will hold us accountable, that one day our breath is gone, and so our life is finished. Live as if everyday is your last, love hard, live long, life fully. that is all fine and dandy, but there has to be a difference, a difference in the way we love, a difference in the way we live. Really, I mean really, am I just repeating myself? Seemingly contradicting myself? People are so insistent on making amends, getting their life together before their silver chord is broken. Why? Is it just the end result that matters? Does the means count for nothing?

Oh I can see you now, waiting to cut that delicate silver chord, Not Yet! Wait, I am not ready. Making amends, loving your neighbors for the soul purpose of satisfying yourself, for clearing up your conscience. Shame on us, tsk tsk tsk, yes i say again, bad doggy. To live knowing we only make amends to clear our own consciences, and you say you're not selfish well think again.

We must love as if life will never end, we must take pleasure in every moment that's not even ours to begin with. after all can we control a single breath of ours? I think not. Go out, do something drastic, shelter a homeless man, feed an orphan, clothe a naked girl, love a stranger my friend, love a stranger. Life applications as always. Take heed. Call it denial but I refuse to believe that only a memory lives on, our soul lives on.

Rest Assured, We Live On.
